The Process Of Our Dogs
Here at Hope 4 Paws, we have a process that our dogs go through in order to become ready for Foster/Adoption. We nickname it the three 'R's , this is so important to us and the dogs. As without these, the dogs might not be able to adjust to being in homes and could always fear some sort of harm coming to them. Which we find heart-breaking, but that's why we make sure that every dog that is fostered or adopted goes though this process, before travelling to the UK/Spanish Boarders.
Rescue
We rescue dogs that face cruelty, neglect, starvation, abandonment and near death, including the KILL shelters in Spain and take them somewhere safe. This can not be achieved without the help and support of our volunteers.
Rehabilitate
We then take our dogs to private boarding kennels, or our highly experienced trained volunteers. With this our dogs then start behavioural therapies and what ever they require to be able to be suitable to be placed into homes. This can take up to two months, which seems like a long time. But we like to make sure that all aspects are met. It is well worth the wait, as Rome wasn't built in a day and these dogs have literally gone through hell.
Rehome
This is the most rewarding part for us at Hope 4 Paws.
After the first two stages this is the final, where our dogs are now ready to be placed into loving foster and adopted homes.
We like to make sure that everything is processed properly and that includes application packs that MUST be filled in and returned via email and, or post. Once received it will be carefully processed and then our Adoption and Foster Coordinator will make contact ,within working hours.
Following on from that, a home check would take place.
If successful we then move forward with arranging your rescues arrival.
We have a dog to suit ALL, however if you rent we will ask for proof to keep animals.
